CR84FN #61 Week 2

It's week 2 of CR84FN #61! And lo and behold, I actually had time to make a second card! I actually made it several days ago…I hope I can continue to get back into my good ol' craft room on a regular basis. The place has been a bit of a wasteland as of late.

I was really inspired by this color palette to play with watercolors. So I dug out my watercolor paper (this stuff is the best for working wit watercolors, seriously) and played a bit.

I started by using water based inks (Antique Linen Distress Ink and PTI's Hawaiian Shores), wet a brush and began brushing the ink on the paper. Then I stamped a few flower silhouettes in tan and a few in brown for some depth. Pretty simple but I really like how this turned out. It just makes me want to play with watercolors even more!

CR84FN #61

Time for a brand new CR84FN Challenge!

Aren't these colors so beachy and fabulous?! So much inspiration...

Here's my take;

I heat embossed the stitched flowers on aqua card stock in white. I stamped the argyle pattern in tan on cream card stock around the left edge and bottom of the base. Then I negative die cut the aqua card stock and stamped the sentiment inside. Then I finished it off with a tan ribbon.

Things have been BUSY this summer, hence the super quiet blog - I took on a few projects at work at the beginning of the summer and now all are coming due. We did just get back from a 5 day vacation to visit my family which was so nice!

That's it from here. Make sure to swing by CR84FN and see what the AMAZING DT has whipped up!

CR84FN #60

*** So sorry that this is posting late. I messed something up with blogger >:( ***

Hello sports fans! I'm in an Olympic kind of mood, I guess :)

Tine for a brand new CR84FN Challenge!

Our fabulous and super sweet Sue Lelli picked out this weeks prima palette. Gorgeous!

Here's my take;

I used a lattice dice cut background from PTI and used the negative cuts to create the background (I glued the purple cut outs to the white base using the lattice as the template). I really like how it turned out (but what I realized in retrospect, I could have made my job a whole lot easier by die cutting a lattice from white card stock and adhering to a purple base - DOH!).

Hope you are all enjoying your weekend! make sure to swing by CR84FN and see what the AMAZING DT has whipped up!
